Shane Connor -- help from Aussies, please

I used to watch Neighbours a long time ago. Anyway, this man always struck me as rather strange looking. Because I am unfamiliar with the appearance of people with partial Australoid ancestry, I was wondering if perhaps someone with more experience could tell me if this man appears to have some aboriginal influence?
