Finally taken DNA plunge...

Eventually, after about 5 years of rumination, have decided to get my DNA tested.

I went with FTDNA because 23andme doesn't deliver to South Africa.

I know the least about my maternal line so I should find the results quite interesting.

I bought the full sequence mtDNA.

All excited now.

I got the kit in the post today. This is the fastest airmail I have ever seen! :eek: 8 days from the USA to here. Wow!

I've got the scrape one. I'm VERY curious to see what comes of this because my maternal line is thus far the most mysterious one and I have virtually no information. The rest I can all trace back to somewhere, but with this one it runs dead in 1902.

We should take bets on how much nigga blood she's got.If autosomal test is included in the package (FTDNA concentrate on Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups).

Edit:
With Family Finder + mtDNA she gets the autosomal also, but not with mtFullSequence package.

- phenotype+skin color+eyes color, .What do you think that you will have 30% med admixture or 30% caucasian/west asian admixture?
