Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov called Macedonia not to shoot Hitlerite movies for Bulgaria, writes Macedonian Utrinski Vesnik daily.

“At yesterday’s forum in Sofia, instead of explaining why he sees Bulgaria as pat of the name dispute Borisov called Macedonia to stop the manoeuvres, which aim at presenting Bulgaria as a Hitlerite country,” the newspaper writes.

“We do not meddle in any arguments. We meddle only when you put a Hitlerite flag and make such movies. In such case we have to interfere,” Borisov remarked.

“Bulgaria has never had a swastika on its flag. Bulgaria has never done anything against Macedonia – we were the first to recognise the country, we have always shown support and worked for the lifting of the visas for Macedonia. And now, suddenly – a Hitlerite movie about Bulgaria. And we have kept silent – what are we meddling in,” Borisov asked.

Speaking of the joint commemorations and marking of holidays by the two countries Borisov recalled that there was a declaration, which should be respected.

“Let the historians deal with the history, our task is to deal with the financial discipline, the infrastructure and other issues,” Borisov remarked.

“Instead of focusing on the European integration, you are creating such problems. We may celebrate any kind of holidays, we are neighbours, but we are not a Hitlerite country. We rescued the Bulgarian Jews, for whom Boris III of Bulgaria made a personal sacrifice. How come did you open such an issue,” the Bulgarian prime minister commented further.

Quoting my own message, 2 days ago;

Unfortunately balkanites are like that. Albanians with their inferiority complex, Bulgarians denying everything, Greeks with their arrogance, Serbians with their fantasies and so on.

They all have one common thing tough;
All of them are totally disconnected from both historical and present realities.

Why they cant shoot a film showing the events of 1940s? Bulgaria was the ally of Hitler`s Germany and they invaded several places in Balkans under Hitler`s orders.

So, why deny this now and disconnect themselves from historical realities? Maybe their own citizens have the memory of gold fish but there are people who remembers what happened 65 years ago.

The Macedonian films are probably far from the reallity. You can see pictures from 1940-1944:

I wish I lived in those years. A short 2 years of unification is far better than this Macedonism. :(

There would be some people who cheered for the incoming bulgarian army but your PM speaks like he is denying all of these, like Bulgaria supposedly never occupied these places and they never allied with Germans at all. I was mainly talking about that but it`s OK, i can guess that some people in Skopje cheers for you.

But this doesn't prove much either because i can say that we can gather 10 times more people than this if Turkish army goes to Bulgaria.

Our PM is denying all the lies in the Macedonian film. :rolleyes: I thought that these pictures are enought for you to understand what was the situation in 1940-1944. Here is a picture of our PM then with young bulgarian girls from Macedonia:

I don't think that they are just "some people who cheered for the incoming bulgarian army".

But this doesn't prove much either because i can say that we can gather 10 times more people than this if Turkish army goes to Bulgaria.

This is not about how much people are there, but the national identity of these people. I showed you a picture where young bulgarian children are celebrating the day of the Bulgarian heroes also i showed you bulgarians with the nazi symbol, this proves that these people are not something different from Bulgarians. If Turkish army goes to Bulgaria i will hardly celebrate the birth of Ataturk, nor i will be with flag with a crescent in hand.

Don't worry, Turkish army will never go to Bulgaria but i was serious about that. Maybe you wont but i am sure that there would be 100.000s who cheers for Turkish army :)

Ok, putting aside what and why BB said and what and why the Macedonians did etc....you do realise that the above comment coming from a Turkish guy is plain ridiculous, right? I mean Turkey is still denying one of the biggest genocides in human history - namely the Armenian genocide that caused the death of over 1 million people? And Turkey is "denying this now and disconnects itself from historical realities"! Do you get the hypocrisy of your comment? So maybe you should answer the question yourself or better yet try not to be "на всяко гърне мерудия" :rolleyes:
