I will give some personal examples of men who tried to mate poach:

a) A boy at university suggested that we should do homework together (Temporal Invasion strategy). My reply: "Sorry, I have to go home to my man".

b) One of my man's acquaintances called me and asked me to come and see him, "right now" (Emotional Connection strategy). My reply: "It's against my religion to see other men alone".
