I didn't know he is a singer, I know him because he was in a relationship with a friend of mine !

I check his fb profile to make sure we still have that common friend, and be sure of that.

I just found out about him, when I saw him in a music video and I wondered about his name, so I checked and I found out he's of two nationalities, 50%-50%!

He looks pred. Atlanto-Med/Med type with CM influences/tendencies.

Well, German was the closest guess I'd say. I don't know where people saw the non Euro, honestly...
