Do any fellow Apricians shoot Sako rifles for fun or sport?
I have found them to be some of the finest shooting rifles out of the box.
Not to forget they are very affordable.

I would like to hear from some of our Finnish members on how they create such straight shooting rifles.

A buddy of mine out west has an Varmint/85 .308 he's given me the pleasure of shooting. Great rifle, not much kick as you'd expect which is really nice, especially when you're picking off Prairie Dogs all day. :D

I had a Sako 75 Varmint in 308 Win. where I fitted a McMillan A2 stock- s very neat setup able to shoot Sub 10mm 5 rnd groups @ 100m.
Then I had a Sako Quad with a Manners stock, the mother of all 22s!:

My Mosin Nagant M39 also was Sako made, if that counts:

You just cant do wrong with a Sako 85! The cheaper A7 series is settled in between the Tikka T3 and Sako 85 Quality wise. The TRG series has a not very well designed stock which makes the rifle jump quite hard, othwerwise great rifles as well.
So buy a 85, get it glass bedded and you are good to go! Their Standard Trigger can be adjusted to a pull weight as low as 450g, what more do you need?

Frankly, this is the first time I ever heard of Sako rifles. They definitely appear to be well worth looking into. I'll check with Cabela's and see if they carry them. Thanks for the information
