Essential oils are able to help immensely with psychological problems. Lavender, ylang ylang, clary sage, and roman chamomile are just a few examples of essential oils that are good for calming anxiety. Why they work is that the particles of the essential oils cross into the bloodstream directly through the skin if applied topically, or through the nasal passages if inhaled. There's lots of websites dealing with aromatherapy out there, I'll post some links soon.

Lemon, Cinnamon, and Olive trees work very well for me. There is an olive grove near my house and I like to go on a walk through it to relax sometimes, the smell is great. I often like to simmer cinnamon in a small pot of water, and I add orange peels to it sometimes, it is nice. Lemon is the most relaxing for me though.
