Actually Nordwave mate, when I was very young I also played a bass guitar in an anti-fa garage punk-rock band, for several years, tho, back then they were not in that bad trip and were just kids that liked music, obviously, are ways separated and since I played in a Nationalistic BM/thrash metal band on which I can say I am rather proud

I can't find any good videos by:
ˇ Minor Threat
ˇ Fugazi
ˇ Agnostic Front
but I do think they are awesome.
I liked Dead Kennedys back in the day, Jello Biafra is one funny mofo. His political views were also pretty laughable though, so in the end it killed any admiration I had for him.
:thumbs @ Sally for liking Germs, one great underrated band.

Thanks again to Eburos for showing me how to properly link youtube videos.
I'm going to stretch the boundaries a bit. (Afterall, punks can never really agree on what is "punk" anyways.) So I'm going to select an "avant-garde" punk band, a crazy stage band with a unique gimmick, and a post punk band among others.
I'll start with something on the obscure side (at least it seems to be) even by punk standards:
3juYXsb_RWw
Sounds like a Ramones or Damned wannabe, no? It's hard to believe that's the same GG Allin most of us know from Sally Jesse Raphael, right? That whole first album by GG Allin and the Jabbers is actually good clean (heh, relatively speaking) fun. Nothing groundbreaking. Again, just good fun. Kind of like 99.9% of surf music. And how about some of them lyrics:
"makes no sense the things do or say girl
because everything you say comes back to me
don't go playing with me emotionally
or I will make you bleed internally"
LOL! What a tasteless laugh riot. Well done, GG! Anyways, moving on...
It's amazing how much this guy fell off the deep end a bit later. This next link is probably the most tasteless song anyone can link. It's the GG incarnation most are familiar with. It's a definite affront to my morals. It's one of those things that's horrifying on so many levels, yet, I can't turn away from it.
cRS5VGGD67g
I think I just like the sheer anger in his voice. Despite the terrible lyrics, the level of (I don't give a F*^%) anger is very punk. He definitely won the contest for most offensive lyrics to ever be penned:
"you've got cancer so go f*ckin' die
if you got AIDS spread it around and take some lives"
And the original version of that song totally blew. A lifeless attempt at Stooges imitation. He made it much more interesting. I dare say, he injected some humanity (a bad part of humanity) into it.
Speaking of tasteless, I've always liked these guys. And I know it's not exactly punk, but David Brockie has always been associated with the punk movements on some level. He was even in the Sony-produced American Hardcore film (which is quite a neat little documentary).
nO-wAfvIF3s
(I just wish they weren't so anti-American, sometimes.)
Someone beat me to Flipper, so here's another nihilistic punk band I recently saw that still kicks ass.
PyM4uAJBujA
Notice that the footage is from the documentary entitled "The Decline of Western Civilization." Oh dear. Lee Ving is badass, though. A no nonsense guy who speaks his mind in a truly punk rock way. In Austin, he dedicated a song to our troops serving overseas (and no, he wasn't being sarcastic) and the knee-jerk liberal crowd (who were SOOO punk) didn't know how to react. It was great.
Now here is a "post punk" band that I really like. They just find a lick and repeat it over and over. Yet, it always comes out great. You guys on the other side of the pond in England should like this one.
xPAdkmfMDic
And finally, quite simply the greatest punk rock album of all time (if you consider it punk).

aWWI2rGdda4
Their first and best single. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the version I really like that has an awesome kick to it. But this one is still good.
YaBWHaoNJ7s
The next video shows a great southern California group. They only had one good album. But it's definitely a keeper. Here is a track from that album. Feels very Iggy & the Stooges (Raw Power era) to me. There's some weird Eraserhead looking footage going on in this video. Why? I have no idea. I also picked this link because of the crowd. Wow. Just wow.

Oh, I just thought of one more to add for the moment. I might be stretching the boundaries of what is "punk," (technically they're post punk), but I think many would just call them punk b/c of their lead singer.

The part where he taunts the cops from the backseat is kind of funny to me. John Lydon is a such a prick. Seriously.

These guys, street toughs from Venice, California were banned from playing in their hometown of L.A. because of the gang violence associated with their concerts.
uT-mAABgRug
When I moved to L.A. in the late eighties this bands gang had become such a nuisance there that going to concerts throughout Southern California, one often risked getting beat up by these Suicidals (http://books.google.com/books?id=FL-rqqrDxb8C&pg=PA72&lpg=PA72&dq=suicidals+gang&source=bl&ots=9IRxJgRtzF&sig=zGPJf50UG8sAW41jzw2xEWdozuU&hl=en&ei=2fN9TLHGKIWdlgfjr_nrCw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CDIQ6AEwCDgK#v=onepage&q=suicidals%20gang&f=false)!

PiL are criminally underrated. They almost never get attention. This is probably their most famous song, I guess? Love it, anyway:

Pretty un-punk though...
Probably not exactly punk once again, but I had to post this when I thought of it:

Hard rock and heavy metal is the music of 12 years old kids in Italy.. ( never been popular )
Maybe in Scandinavia hard-rock is the music of mature or elderly people who still believe they are 16 years old..
Punk rock music is the music of the mentally retarded of any age
