I dunno he looks darker than your average Scot. Scots usually have Blondish/Red/light brown hair. His hair is dark brown. Sean Connery is another example of a darker than average Scot. Probably from med influence in the British Isles.

Well he is darker than your average Scot but that doesn't effect the fact that he's fairly common, just as a redhead being more depigmented than normal doesn't effect the fact that they are fairly common. The majority of the population are of course somewhere in the middle.


Take into accout that they are both in the entertainment business and don't actually live in this climate and their complexions are a little easier to understand. I looked a lot darker when I came back from Australia than I ever have over here (obviously, no sun :D). Fergusson and Connery both have Irish ancestry btw, and I think they would look quite normal here, don't think it would be much different in Scotland.

There's definitely a med component in the British Isles which makes alot of Brits swarthier. Sean Connery and Craig Ferguson are good examples.
