Please vote on the region you think they're most likely to come from. Consider their phenotypes and ancestry distribution across the U.S.

I'll wait for a few more guesses and then I'll reveal.

The South or the Northeast?

There is a Southern vibe with a few of them. They could be from anywhere. Most likely the Midwest or Western States, particularly the Northwest. I see anglo-saxon and scots-irish in some, but those groups are spread over every region.

There are a few people who look like that in the South and other parts of the country, but much more common in the Midwest or Western States, particularly the Northwest.

There has been so much internal migration in the usa. I have known people who have lived in 15 states. So it's a tough guess.

I'll take a shot in the dark and say the South.

They look like any British isles decendent Americans that you will find prominent in ALL those regions in the poll. Again, as i said before only in states like New York, California, and certain metropolitan areas in the North east will you find many who aren't typical white American.

Ok, I'm gonna reveal it since some of you have guessed it already or suspected. They are from the South, specifically, they are native to South Carolina. When I searched I think I could see some general differences in phenotypical frequencies comparing to the other group I have posted from the Midwest (Michigan).

Got my final answer in just in time. People who look like that are spread over such a vast area, from coast to coast.

Some of the women look Southern because of the hair style.

Yes, but there are trends in phenotype depending on the region I guess. At least I've been digging on this lately and I think there are from what I see of course.

Yes. You posted enough pictures to help us narrow it down some. A few of the men could pass anywhere, but there were enough pictures that helped narrow it down to one region.

For sure, that grey women for example. The group, as a whole, looks rather very swarthy too.

Never noticed before, but you could be right. Northern girls seem to be fans of putting the hair back or wearing it parted side to side or wearing their hair with that loop on the left side that they put behind the ear (i don't know what the hell its called i'm not a woman).

Lol. What I mean is their skin is sun kissed. It's true for most of them. That is how I concluded they were from the south anyway.

I think they look overwhelmingly more Western European, which made me think of the South or New England. I would've guessed areas with large French, English, Irish, Scottish, etc. They'd fit here, but not as the most common types, which here are overwhelmingly Central European. More German, Swiss, Polish, other Central-Eastern ethnic groups, etc.

Yes, a lot of Germans in PA.

To me they look British, which would place them in the south (i.e. Scots-Irish, English colonial types).

I would say that some of them have a very Southern look, but they could pass in the Northeast as well, but I would think the South at first by initially looking at them.
