Europeans invented the swimsuit :thumb001:

Older girls remember when one-piece swimsuits were fashionable for the young. In the anglo-sphere, at least, they have been taboo for quite some time. I was wondering if the young girls are still prejudiced against them?

Maybe I'm a bit too old to comment, but I much prefer the one-piece. It keeps everything in where it is supposed to be.

I agree!

However, that's the type of talk which ruined it's reputation in the first place.

Can we get off the subject of Blacks for just once?

Better thread here!:p

Those don't exist on the beaches here. I guess girls couldn't tan properly with those swimsuits?

Yes. They aren't great for tanning. But UV factor!!!!

Is a bikini tan line any better? Possibly I suppose, but if you think objectively about it, not really.

I can't really tell. I suppose they would get unconfortable under the heat, more than bikinis.

This could get uncomfortable:

They can be hotter, but that's what swimming is for. And what about (night time)poolside cocktail parties? A one-piece with heels is a lot classier than a bikini and heels.

Yeah, but i was only thinking of the beach. In that case i guess you're right.

The Italians (they were called Romans back then, which sounds somewhat better) invented the bikini two thousand years ago...

Isn't the one-piece bikini mission to hide imperfections? :D

As I remember one-piece can be a problem for a man if he is in a hurry to take it off :D

Well, it's a majority male forum, and if there is naked skin involved it will attract 'em like honey attracts insects. :p

Isn't one-piece swimsuit uncomfortable when wet?

What it is, is this. One-pieces are more flattering to the female form.

In the present time young women have a lot more flesh on them than we did 15 years ago.

Wearing a one-piece is kind of seen as an admission of having body faults. That is. I wear a one-piece so therefore I'm fat. Not the other way around.

Flame on.

I usually wear a one piece, but I don't wear a swimsuit to the beach, I use it for swimming, and if you're doing laps, a string bikini just ain't going to be a good choice! :p

And, to be perfectly honest, if anyone saw this in a string bikini, the proper reaction should be: OH HELL NO!!

That's because we thought we would see lots of bikinis when we saw the thread title.

That was not what i had in mind, more like more pictures like in the first post. However, it could be that some forum members would feel like showing their bikinis as well...

I dislike the look of one piece swimsuits on women, they are unflattering in every way.

Bikinis.

You remember it out of personal experience? :p

Well, not necessarily. Just like not every guy with a cap is hiding baldness or not every girl with a pareo is hiding cellulite. :p

I have only ever worn a one piece. I like swimming and diving into the water....disaster is bound to happen if you swim or play too rambunctiously in one of those itsy bitsy bikinis lol.

Long live the one piece!!

My girl friend purchased a one piece swimsuit with build in tummy control, her stomach now looks more flattened.
And she is alot more willing to go to the beach with me:D
Eventhough she is really pretty, woman can overeact sometimes when it comes to her own looks^^
