View Full Version : Should a man be allowed to have sex with his wife if she is in a coma?

Do you think that a man whose wife is in a permanent coma has the right to have sexual intercourse with her?

Could this be considered rape?

What if she should fall pregnant?

Do you think this is acceptable and should be allowed?

It's not me that is weird.

I heard of a case a few years ago, a woman whose husband had beauticians come to the hospital to have her nails done and pubic hair waxed. He was convinced that she would wake up from her coma while he was having sex with her. He had her discharged from the hospital in a great hurry because he wanted to make her wake up as soon as possible.

I don't even want to imagine what he does to her.

I find it utterly disgusting. And as far as I'm concerned this should be a punishable offense. I would consider this to be tantamount to rape as she is not able to give consent.

At what point did I give you that impression?

I made a statement and asked a question. I did not want to influence the people who are going to answer it with my own opinion.

I've heard of women passing out, and being raped at parties. For the folk to got away with it. From people who have seen it.

I'd consider it as rape, because none gave permission.

He loves her in coma. So when she wakes up she can be certain he would never leaves her when he tells her about his love affection displays when she was in coma. Love can only be stronger for aware person. Oh, by the way, the toddler whose crying greeted her awakening is her child.

This is rape. Being married does not allow you to own anybody else's body. Sex actions within a couple are supposed to be of mutual consent every time, married or not. Since she can't, it is unconsented sex.

If he wants to wake her up with his love, there are for sure other ways.

But can this not be a situation where he may legitimately live out some or other perverse fantasy? Then the child has a father and a mother who it has never heard speak. My feeling is that he is really just using her as a blow-up doll and love has nothing to do with it anymore. Maybe initially, but every time he feels a bit horny he can go do to her whatever he likes because she is not going to resist.

What other weird shit is he doing with her?

Could be even worse

Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) has appealed to the Islamist-dominated parliament not to approve two controversial laws on the minimum age of marriage and allowing a husband to have sex with his dead wife within six hours of her death according to a report in an Egyptian newspaper.

There is no victim in this scenario. There's just a guy who performs shameful act instead of having a decent wank.

I'm really against it. I guess they have some sort of weird living will in which case its not my business what ever I think about it. Maybe she would want to reproduce even in that circumstance. A women was allowed to sperm from a dead husband (he had donated before death).

I agree about living wills, but they are more regarding whether or not life-saving actions may be performed and under which circumstances. How many people sit and chat, "Darling, if I went into a coma I want you to continue having sex with me till we get a child. Come, lets get it in writing." Who sits and thinks up bizarre hypothetical situations such as these?

In the case of the woman whose husband's sperm was frozen, there is a slight difference between thawing up someone's sperm and using a comatose woman's body as a human incubator. The man donated the sperm for use at a later stage. This woman's body is being used and abused and she has no say in it at all.

Why would it be ok? the woman in the coma would not be able to consent to it and why would a guy have sex with a lifeless body?

Overall, yes it would be considered rape in my opinion.

How in the hell could someone ever think of having sex with a woman in coma ? Particularly if that person is your wife. It should be the very last bloody thing on a person's mind.

It's a horrible thing to consider! It likely would be done without her consent and/or knowledge. It's tantamount to rape. It reminds me of a Smiths(?) song too.

Idek. It's possible they are into kinky stuff, but I think it could impose medical problems if the partner has sex while in coma.

I would be crying nonstop bedside. It'd be hard to imagine wanting to do more than either hold hands or sleep beside this person.

Maybe they need a psych evaluation.

I never advocated it. I wonder what is wrong with the reading comprehension of the forum.
When I posted that specific part, I said "I'm wondering if it could have a preventive use", and in that very same thread, said that after thinking a bit about it, I had discared the possibility.

So there's nothing wrong with my reading comprehension if you said it...Regardless, glad you came to your senses.

There's a clear difference between considering something for a moment, and advocating it or doing it.

I can sometimes feel like eating some pie, and may wonder if I should. In the end I don't since I might prefer to not eat many carbs.

In this situation you have to clean it up. Who the fuck wants to wash a pussy after fucking it?

Even if she is somebody's wife....that won't give his husband rights to have sex with her over hers own will. If she is ''unconscious''...no matter the reason...same goes with that.

On the other hand...if she has been in coma already some time and there are no expected recovery....When husband can have sex with some other woman? How long to wait? I think this is what could be discussed....

Mary
