A, now, low-end Laptop.

With this monitor.

It plays Skyrim (and similar games) at med/high settings 30fps; 1600 x 900 2x AA 8x AF. That is all I need for now. I hope to build a gaming PC in about a year or so though.

At the moment my laptop is low spec, but hopefully I will be able to get a better one soon so as to play the more modern RTS games.

Trust me my experience and gut feeling tells otherwise. With Steam coming (and converting it's library) to Linux I guess Win7 is the last Microsoft OS I will use (pirate).

My mom is a board member in BHTelecom and I was probably amongst the first few hundred unfortunate people in Europe who tried that peace of shit. Talked with 10 system admins there as well and they shared my opinion that Win8 is shit (in the bad way) and that it's just another "Vistaware" destined to fail HARD.

I'm using the release candidate and when you dont use that stupid metro interface (wich I however do use on tablet and smart phone) its a gloryfied win7.

Big benefit also is that up till now all my software and hardware is compatible with win8, which wasn't the case when win7 was released. So I don't agree with you one bit.

And talking about vista btw... Wich OS is win7 based on? Right vista. So I'll trust my own judgement on this issue thank you very much.

Now lets get back on topic shall we?:thumb001:

You do realize how many years it took to perfect Win7 from the big pile of doo doo called Vista to the point of being bearable?

The short or long words?

If you wanna talk operating systems be my guest in opening up a thread just for that.

I have a 4.5ghz overclocked 3770k together with a maximus gene motherboard with 16gb of ddr3 1600 2x vertex 4 128gb and my old 1tb hd with a 1.1ghz oc Msi radeon 7870.

I bought all the parts apart from each other, and it runs really smooth.
