So no genres please...

Titles we want!:)

For me;

1; Dragon age Origins (without a shadow of a doubt!).
2; Assassins Creed II (basicly I like all AC games but this one is absolutely the best one out of the whole franchise).
3; Maffia II.

I picked these games because I still enjoy playing them after like more then 10 or 20 playthroughs. Other games I play ones, maybe twice and get bored with them.

These are btw also the only games I have ever payed for!:D

1. Metroid Prime (for its atmosphere)
2. Secret of Mana (My favorite Japanese Role-Playing Game; had awesome music and a fun battle system)
3. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (for its atmosphere)

Those are the first three that came to my mind. I'm sure if I thought harder and analyzed all the video games I've played, with pros and cons considered, the list would be different though.

I hate MMO games, too many cheeky uncultured players, that is why I stopped playing LoL and WoW.

I've never really played LoL but watched some friends of me playing it, it looks very like DotA but it's more improved I think.

As for WoW it used to be very cool game, but it gets ruined more and more expansion-by-expansion. I enjoyed vanilla (pre-tbc) and TBC most. I still play it though my account is frozen now :D

PS2 of course! :D

I loved Portal actually, I found it really interesting, and fun. And I'm able to think visually like how they want you to think in that, and it was trippy stretching my mind that way to solve the puzzles. :thumbs up

I got it because I went to my local video game store, and talked with the guy who worked there. I had wanted to try a new game, and I really loved the aspects of having to solve physical puzzles like you do in Tomb Raider, and in Resident Evil to a certain extent. And I like the working alone part too, I don't want to have to be dependent on someone else's fuck ups in order to enjoy a video gaming experience. The guy there told me that I might really like Portal, so I only bought the Orange Box specifically to play Portal. Unfortunately, I have not been able to finish playing Portal 2 because my XBox is malfunctioning, and I need to have it looked at. And I don't have the time to spend on a video game, surfing the internet is not as attention demanding while keeping an eye on the wee one. ;)

Good girl :D

Lol I enjoyed Portal as well but it was a short game. I definitely plan on looking into P2 in the very near future.

Portal is really short, and that's a bummer, but I think that they made it that way because they didn't know how it was going to be received, because there truly isn't another game just like it out there, it's truly unique. And when I had called the video game store to help me with the very last part, (where you have to fly through the air to get Glados' last sphere that hanging high up and catch it on the way down, I had been working on that for a couple of nap sessions, and I wasn't certain if I even had the right idea) every store I had called didn't have someone who had completed the game, even though they had all tried it. And it turned out that I was right, I just had to finesse my technique. So I felt smarter than I really am because not very many people had gotten that far. :tongue

But sometimes shorter is sweeter. We got a teasing taste, and now we want MOAR!!

Portal 2 is awesome, but my X Box started to malfunction partway through my playing the first time around. The baby had caused the console to be tipped over, and now it won't play any discs.... :grumpy:

*I love my baby, I love my baby, I very much love my sweet little baby.....*

Top 3:
EVE Online (aka Spreadsheets in Space, learning curve of death xD)
Mass Effect (Like 1 more than 2 and 2 more than 3)
WoW (Vanilla and BC as someone above said, although BC was my stomping ground) it's a rubbish game now.

Others that are really good:
Stronghold (Grew up on it)
Lord of the Rings Online
Star Wars The Old Republic
Mount and Blade
Arma II (And DayZ is also quite fun)
Diablo II, Diablo III is fairly good.
Baldurs Gate I (Although admittedly haven't played much of it, it's good fun, and brutal in the early levels)
Elder Scrolls Series (Have only played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim to any great extent) Wanted to include them up the top but it's a tough choice.
Total War Games (Including Third Age total War mod)
Penumbra series & Amnesia - Great games, the only horror games that i've played that are actually horror. Most movies/games marketed as horror are just gore, not being able to fight back is scary. :D
Runescape - Played it for years, it's not so good now but another one i grew up playing.
Colin McRae Rally games (2005 was the best)
Tony Hawks Skateboarding

Well theyre practically all the games i've played probably but meh.

I'm gonna have to say Euro Truck Simulator 2 is an amazing game. Delivering a range of things from Apples to Cyanide to various places around Europe is somehow a lot more fun than anything else at the moment.

And my new truck is awesome. Runs so well..looks so good.

Can't say the same about the hired labour though, they're all really bad workers so i fired them and sold the trucks as i can keep myself afloat, even to pay off a 400 grand loan.

Edit: Oh yeah and i found a profile picture from the default stock in the game that actually looks a lot like me haha.

I played on somewhat of a roleplay server. It was also low magic and level. You were lucky to reach level 6 even after months or years of playing or to get a +1 weapon. I'm not into high powered campaigns where people become god-like. The character I played the longest on there was a paladin and I think he only got to level 5 and had no magic items.

Yes, I actually enjoy building more than "playing" the game. I can spend weeks building and decorating just one house. The whole cooking, pooping, sleeping thing gets kinda boring though but that's what's so great about the game. You don't have to do anything you don't like. Its a sandbox.

I had the original Sims, my guy got fat & died.

Prefered building the house, to the actual game.

Haha yeah. Same, building the houses is the best bit, the sims just do what they do and somehow persist.

I've never been able to get someone fat, but the fat ones never stay thin if they lose wait.

Probably one of the toughest questions to answer ever (lol):

1) PC: Hero's Quest (Later retitled as Quest for Glory):

I played on somewhat of a roleplay server. It was also low magic and level. You were lucky to reach level 6 even after months or years of playing or to get a +1 weapon. I'm not into high powered campaigns where people become god-like. The character I played the longest on there was a paladin and I think he only got to level 5 and had no magic items.

Yeah well the one where I was the most, you reached the lvl 40 in one month and a half playing 1-2hour a day but the good stuff was very hard to get,you needed to make an assault with 4-5 other players to beat some boss .

I've played all of those. :thumbs

I used to play Cossacks: Back to War with 3-4 of my buddies all the time. Never liked the Hearts of Iron series. The only games from Paradox that I didn't love.

Too hard just to pick three but...

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 - has to be my all time favorite

Counter Strike: Source - Addictive. I became addicted to the "surf" maps.

Wolfenstein 3D a fun game when I was a kid. It was the first game I ever pirated when a friend made me a bunch of floppy discs. Felt legendary to play it at the time. Doom and Duke Nukem came out after that and also felt legendary to a 12 year old kid.

Super Mario 3. I remember the hype before it was released.

Rome: Total War - I guess (didn't like the ones after it though. I have empire total war but couldn't get into it as much).

Stalker was a nice game.

Ghengis Khan series on the original NES got me into War Strategy games.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 was a cool game but hardly anyone is ever online. (like realism in games).

I liked the Shenmue games too. There are just too many to only pick three haha.

I remember Hexen. It was decent.

The Hitman games are good...

Thief series are decent.

I played all the Quest for Glory games way back. Also Kings Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Sam and Max hit the road, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Willy Bearish, Escape from Monkey Island. (damn, now I'm rambling).

Too difficult a thread for me. I've got nostalgia.

I never liked it myself. Have you ever played 1.6 (or the earlier versions)?

I played the earlier versions of CS much later.

I was mostly addicted to the Surf maps in CS:S. There is some glitch that causes the characters to slide on angles and people made whole maps where you are basically surfing/sliding the whole thing in addition to shooting. It's a skill you need to learn to pull off right and similar to flying.

Here's a demo
