I'm not sure. His name is not found here:http://www.gens.info/italia/it/turismo-viaggi-e-tradizioni-italia?t=cognomi&cognome=giabiconi&x=0&y=0
and the only places it seems to be is Southern France and Corsica http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gl=34&gsln=Giabiconi&gsln_x=XO
Probably a francization of an Italian name :confused2:

typical northern Italian.

Typical Ligurian maybe, but not Piedmontese nor Lombard nor Emilian.

I believe lots of Corsicans originally came from Genoa, so that makes sense.

They are strangely very different from the Sardinians.
No much similarity either with Southern French.

I suppose they look like normal Central-North-Italians (with also a high degree of heterogeneity).

A couple of Corsican town councils:

A sizeable difference from Italy however is that Dinarid traits are less prevalent. On the other hand there are sometimes near-Baskid types that are virtually unknown on the Italian mainland. Is it due du Southern French influence or is it a remnant of some ancient pre-IE substrate, I don't know.

There are two kinds of archetypal faces in Corsica, one of them can be represented by Jean-Philippe Ricci:

Related kind of face but less caracteristically marked (and more common), Lionel Tavera:
http://images.allocine.fr/r_760_x/medias/nmedia/18/81/80/03/19565021.jpg

The other archetypal corsican face is well embodied by Jean-Claude Acquaviva:

Similar to the one above, on the swarthy side, Eric Fraticelli:

Now there are also individuals with a more pan-French look, like Pascal Olmeta:

But what I'll personally always identify more with a corsican face, making quite a synthesis of the different archetypes, are peoples like (edited):

I am not sure how to classify him but he looks Cro-Magnid / Med with Nordic influence.

Absolutely. He looks like southern italian (even not typical). Average northern italian would look maybe like stefano accorsi.

I agree, he looks like a more gracile version of francesco arca (sardinian surname?)

however med + cm (aka coarse/crude med)

Really attractive guy, Atlanto-West med gracilized, pass in all southern Europe but in particular in Sardinia, Liguria, South France, Iberia and Corsica, phenotype that I think may be very frequent among the ancient Ligurians
