i think most whites would befriend a weird russian than a minority group, it is just some racial grouping tendency

We all face this dilemma at one time or another. I can't count the number of times that Russian spies have tried to befriend me, some of them were non-White too. Imagine what a conundrum that was! Not all Black Russians are alcoholic drinks.
