I think there are noticeable differences that make it not too difficult to tell some of them apart. Kurds are more Iranid influenced and Turks look slightly more European/Greek.

Make another try. However I find it somehow odd that all three of you guessed someone from Izmir as Kurdish.

Generally Kurds are more robust and longer headed than Turks I've noticed.

Iranians versus Pontic Greeks might be tough. But generally I can tell all Greeks (except Cypriots) from Middle Easterners with ease.

Kurds have a additional Dolichocephalic/Mesocephalic Irano-Med and cromagno-Alpine component while Turks an Greek specific Alpine component and additional Mongolid influence.

Turks= Armenoid/Eastmed/ Alpine/Iranomed with additional mongolid and (Irano) Nordic input.

That I can get relatively accurately because I can recognize Lebanese features.. you see traces of them amongst Sicilians because of the Phoenician descent, so I bet I could recognize them over Iranians who look completely foreign to me.
