Greeks have traditionaly been quite fearful of pan-Slavism. From another forum;

http://www.slavorum.com/index.php?topic=1522.0

They have hated their Slavic neighbours at different times. Here's what their love for the Bulgars looked like;

Now we seem to be their most hated though :)

True, not so much Serbs, but Yugoslavs.

Serbs and Greeks have a traditional friendship/alliance.

Greeks have traditionaly been quite fearful of pan-Slavism.Of course, we were surounded by Pan-Slavism and Pan-Turcism. If we hadn't been, we would be Slavs or Turks today

Bulgarian and Slavic Macedonian claims on Greece can't be explained with pan-Slavism.If you check their idealised maps of "greater Bulgaria" and "greater Macedonia",you can see they claim territories from Serbia as well.It is more like their patriotism/irredentism.

Perhaps almost all Slavic Macedonians have claims on Greece but many Bulgarians are more moderate...

Bullshit...

I said "perhaps" and "almost"...

Many Macedonians want to see "Solun" as Macedonian capitol...I can't say whole nation aims that but number of those Macedonians isn't so low.

Serbs are of course liked here and many times referred as "brother nation". I have neutral feelings about Bulgarians and mostly negative about Slavomacedonians, although individually I have negative feelings towards nobody.

Bulgarians = Out of the lot, I have only met Bulgarians well enough in real life to say that I have a very positive opinion towards them. I like Bulgarians very much.

BJRMs = Other from the name dispute which is a national issue, I have never met any individuals in person to make a judgement, so let's say on the individual level I am neutral.

Serbs = I've only met a few Serbs and haven't really interacted with them that much, but overall I am positively predisposed.

This thing, because you read on an internet forum (seriously? a forum? :rolleyes:) that all Greeks are Slavophobes, is entirely false. :picard1:

Historically,Slavs have been enemies of Greeks since their presence in our lands.

About today,i am personally neutral towards them...and ofc it is different being Slav and Russian and being Slav and Bulgarian or Serb.

About the country with no name northern of Greece,i will make no comment.

LOL.

I was talking to a friend today who is Serbian and he says Serbs and Greeks are like brothers, despite language. And when you find them located in the same areas in other countries, they tend to stick together.

All non-Slavs fear pan-Slavism.

Actually no, some western intellectuals were philoslavs because they believed that all Slavs can oppose to Russian tsarism which was seen as very negative even among those Slavs.

Not at all.

I just find Russians more interesting from the rest of the Slavs.

The same goes with Dutch and Germanics.

Last but not least,French from Western states that formed after the fall of Western Roman Empire.

How comes you are that interested for Greeks?
If you plan to come and work here,i suppose you change your mind,since the Greeks themselves try to leave.
