Yes. Technically correct, no doubt. But there is more to it than that. What would you say is distinct about them? They have their own flavor so to speak. What's your take on that?

Europeans have a distinct mindset and approach to society from colonials. If that is their priority for preservation, then I think colonials must be omitted as we have distinctiveness in that medium. However, there are those interested in ethnic and cultural continuity, and that can and in many cases does also overlap with colonial ethnicities. If that is the priority for preservation, then in many ways colonials would be more acceptable than people with absolutely no history from Europe. For that matter, I consider it a form of national preservation and not "European preservation", which is far more of a geopolitical concept.

Good point.

As a colonial what is different about them from your prospective?

The mindset. Tuan Belanda very much makes it a point that Europeans have an intertwined history of wars, which do not overlap with modern Americans, and in fact many Americans immigrated here for such stability. It has affected the American mindset very much. For example; Americans are more religious, take freedom very, very seriously, and we are moderate capitalists. Europe on the other-hand is far less religious, has freedom - but with restrictions, and they are much more socialistic overall. It's mostly political, the distinctions. Yet, certain Americans are closer culturally and ethnically to some Europeans than they are with each-other, which must be considered in a view of a nationalist for a nation, and not a "European preservationist."
