Peter Pan, by J.M. Barrie. published 1911
I found this book hilarious because it is nothing like the movies we see today.
The author constantly vilifies the hero, Peter Pan, and draws constant sympathy for the long suffering Captain Hook.
It's hilarious how he does it. You can imagine him telling it it to his children and teasing them by defending the adult Captain Hook while making out Peter Pan to be naughty and cheeky.
It's a short read. Check it out for a laugh.
