There are plenty of references to them ... from Paul and Peter as well. There is even an entire epistle written to the Galatians, and also an epistle written to the Ephesians.

Acts 18:23 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+18:23&version=NIV)

After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set out from there and traveled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

1 Peter 1:1 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter+1:1&version=NIV)

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

1 Corinthians 16:19 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians+16:19&version=NIV)

The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings.

However there are seven churches in western Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_churches_of_Asia) that did not receive kind words from the Book of Revelation:

Revelation 2:4

4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.

Revelation 3:2

2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.

Revelation 3:3

3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

And for Laodicea:

Revelation 3:15-18

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

There are plenty of other references.

Yep. Actually the early Christians started from the Levat all the way to Greece. In fact the Greeks accepted Christianity very easily.
