Sometimes (not often) Arabs and North Africans can look pseudo-Indian and vise versa. It's probably because they both have similar proportions of Caucasoid vs. Negroid/Australoid admixture. Negroid for the Arabs/North Africans vs. Australoid seen in Indians/Pakistanis.

Agreed, I would never guess him as Indian to begin with. He looks totally Levant Semitic. North Indids have sharper features. His hair structure (curly vs straight Indian), Lips Eyes everything almost "scream" Levant- North African.

There can be overlap between North Indians and North Africans true but often there are features which helps you to tell them apart.

Honestly he could be many things. He doesn't have that Kurdish look but he isn't completely atypical either. He does look pseudo-Arab/pseudo-Indian but that's normal because there is an overlap.

Yet his for Kurdish standards rather "odd" look comes most probably due Levant semitic influence. Since he is from an area close to Syrian border (which is actually located in the Levant. He even looks a bit odd for Kurds in the Levant

Yeah he looks like he could pass for Jatt Punjabi or Levant Arab, but then again he's not completely atypical for what he is either.

I would never guess him as an Indian - his tan is misleading imo.

Also, I think he has some Dinaric in him (heavy jaw, long, hooked-nose, closely set eyes, sloping forehead).
