There are considerable amount of Kurdish people in Turkey with this type of look. I always believed that these people are islamized Armenians of eastern Anatolia.

But i wonder if there are Iranid-Armenoid Kurds in Iraq, Iran and Syria too? I think this kurdish phenotype is exclusive to Turkey but i might be wrong.

North Kurdistan my friend :) not turkey . Majority of kurds are iranid and Armeniod but we also have alpine influences and east meds.

Müslüm Gürses is of local Arab origin, just like most of the few Arabs in Urfa he is most probably of assimilated Armenian or Syriac/assyrian origin, yet he could pass as some sort of Kurd.

I would expect from a person who supposedly knows so much about Turkey to know that.

As I said its because he is of local Arab origin Sometimesyes the pathetic individual should actually know that. However most of the few Arabs in Southeast Anatolia like Urfa are of Syrian or local Kurdish, Armenian, Syriac/Assyrian origin. Thats why he could pass as Kurd or Armenian or Assyrian.

Müslüm Gürses as far as I know even grew up among Kurds and somehow was raised Kurdish in some way just like Ibrahim Tatlises father who was a local Kurdified Syrian Arab. In Urfa you got some 70% Kurdish population and the rest 30% are mostly Arabs with a few Turks among it.
