^ Berid is visible in nose, brow ridge and eyes. Berids are quite round faced like Alpinids, so they are not traditionally CM-looking (like Faelids or Borrebys) who have angular features. But Berid is definitely there.

I can't agree, only the nose is maybe CM influenced (or is dinaricization?it's too long and not enough concave). However Lundman distinguishes paleoatlantid (NW cm) and berid (SW cm). The latter is a reduced relative of the first, more neotenic but far from the pseudo infantile alpinid look (of the facial features of course).
Coon's even talks only about coarse med with some regional differences.
However I imagine berid as a robust mediterranean type, more similar to tydal,paleoatlantid ecc. than to CM alpinid.

i have to agree with this. he looks like is has spanish blood but not only that, he looks part roma or part north african.
i have to say that tan can make someone 1000 times more exotic than one truly is , i 'd like to see an untanned picture of him .. because with such high tan this cyclist looks 100 times more exotic than i am (and that's a lot) and he would be asked if he was a mena immigrant in southern italy (i bet it's the same in spain)
