That is a very negative view but my opinion is that it only manipulates consumers who wanted to be manipulated!! For me it is a hobby and i work hard to make it a job....with a little luck. :D I had some semi - professional shootings with photographs to get good photos which i can add to my portfolio and application map. We send it to smaller model agencys and sometimes i receive invitations for a casting or shooting!! I was not very successful for so far but it is interesting and makes fun beside the stress.
I have enough to do beside the hobby you know?? I go to school and want to make the abitur certificate --- and later i want to study!! I am not naive i will never be a supermodel but some people say i look good and pretty and if i can make some additional money with a hobby i dont say "Nooo never!" :cool: And if it is only a job for teenager clothes in a average supermarkt catalogue --- it is okay for me!! Some have fun in gardening and i have fun to try to model.

What I said was nothing personal. I don't mind modelling as a vocation, not at all, my mother was a model in her younger days. What I dislike is the excesses of it, esp. in modern times. It's definitely not something I "hate", but I always find it odd. Usually the reasons are the real problem. "It's egotistical to want to pass on your own genes in your children", "It's selfish to have your own babies when there are so many little Chinese babies that are unwanted", "If I have kids then I won't be able to live the way I do now!" etc....

I am unsure of whether or not it's something everyone loves. Certainly I hear it more and more often (among a certain demographic, guess which :rolleyes: ). I have an instinctual repulsion to young women that say they don't ever want children. It just doesn't seem right to me. Young women should at some point want children! And yes, it is different if a male says this. I think I have womanhood and motherhood inextricably linked in my mind. This may be because I am a male. If a woman said she had manhood and fatherhood linked in her mind I would certainly understand.

I am unsure of whether or not it's something everyone loves. Certainly I hear it more and more often (among a certain demographic, guess which :rolleyes: ). I have an instinctual repulsion to young women that say they don't ever want children. It just doesn't seem right to me. Young women should at some point want children! And yes, it is different if a male says this. I think I have womanhood and motherhood inextricably linked in my mind. This may be because I am a male. If a woman said she had manhood and fatherhood linked in her mind I would certainly understand.

Yes, the quote you had in bold was word for word what I was told by a Latvian girl at my university when I asked why she had just said so adamantly that she would never have her own children. She then mentioned that she might consider adoption at some point.

These things are often followed up with them saying that they will never get married. The whole thing sort of boggles my mind. I don't understand it. I think some girls think that they are just going to run around, forever young, and going between guys for the rest of their lives. I've had one girl tell me that she hopes that when she is older, unmarried, and childless that the young guys will still go out with her. :rolleyes:

Bathory - Bathory from 1984 is the first claimed Black Metal, both "ideologically" and musically. Venom are only called BM because satanic lyrics, the same goes even with Slayer. But still is not correct to call them pioneers, since pure "technical " differences in music playing.

"Black Metal" was released in 1982 - as Venom's 2nd album. And early Quorthon copied Venom as his main musical influence, with with his then very limited musical talents. I know both bands from the early 80s on - well before you were even born. ;)

It does not matter what is referred to as Black Metal today. Basically it all stems from Norwegian and Swedish loonies who had no sense of (black) humor and took satirical lyrics seriously. And a psychopathic musical non-talent who took on killing abndmates and burning down wooden churches.

You may listen to them since the beginning, but I'm quite seriously involved in BM, in fact that is one of my biggest interests and almost all my friends are quite devoted fans, collectioners and "specialists", mostly as it comes to Underground. Yes, in the beginning BM is not much different from Thrash, but Venom are still not viewed Black Metal at least in these circles. No doubt such bands had much influence in the creating of the new metal genre, but that does not make them belong to it. Poison from Ulm, Germany are much more Black Metal musically, even considered as Death/Thrash. They are also from 1984.
The most of nowadays Swedish and Norwegian scene is just a joke, a trendy and commercial vision making bad image and misunderstanding of the whole musical genre, leading to its slow death.
Black Metal as phenomena, movement and ideology is not about technical playing and musical skills, that's why many random metal fans consider its underground circles as "bunch of untalented loosers, making noise because can't do something better".

You still fail to get the point. Venome created it. They are it. Someone else later adopted their brand. Does not change a thing. From my days a metal zine co-editor I still know all those bands which originated in the 80s and early 90s. The better ones recognized the jokes, the completely untalented nutzi reatard ones (Absurd, Taake, Graveland, nokturnal Mortum etc.) did not.

Taake, Graveland and Nokturnal Mortum were no joke bands, nor "nazis" (just more pagan oriented, not so satanic) at least in the beginning, just part of the large Underground sea. Popularity made them to turn in wrong direction of popularity, but also "improved" their musical style making it more "listenable" by the random metal fan. Anyway, they did much influencing the whole music style which made them so "kvlt".
Most of the so called NSBM, which appears to be quite trendy nowadays and replaced the joke satanism is quite funny phenomena, which would be replaced by something different in the next years. The so called Depressive, Nihilistic, War and Misanthropic bands are gaining power again. One of the reasons is that the "Underground" NSBM was spotted and labeled as "political incorrect", which scared most of the guys behind bands.

I don't consider myself to be the blind, average Black Metal fan, since I know most of the ups and downs of that style and reasons for them.
Anyway, BM is not about few, but thousand bands and separate styles. In fact you'll need whole your life to listen it all. That music style will stay misunderstood forever and that is one of the purposes;)
