On this day, 9 october 1934th year joint Croatian (Ustasha - Croatian Revolutionary Organization) and Bulgaria and Macedonia (VMRO-IMRO) national revolutionaries conducted an assasination of Yugoslav dictator King Alexander Karadjordjevic. Executor against Yugoslav dictator Veličko Kerin alias Vlado Černozemski and in the Croatian side Mijo Kralj, Ivan Rajic and Zvonko Pospišil. Organizer and leader of the assassins, until the arrival in Marseille was Eugen Dido Kvaternik Colonel Slavko Kvaternik's son. Ante Pavelic was sentenced in absentia to death for the second time.
Glory to Croatian and Bulgarian-Macedonian revolutionaries!

In the official report, the king's last words were: "Take care of Yugoslavia" and informal, and more likely, "Fuck them, hell, they killed me" :D

Back then people were truly revolutionary and had lots of cojones whether leftist of fascist. Nowadays we're full of complainers and protesters.

The Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation at the time were fighting for the secession of Vardar Macedonia from the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, were we were seen, against our will, ethnically and nationally as Southern Serbs.
After the Ustaše's Velebit uprising in November 1932, Alexander said across an intermediary to the Italian government: If you want to have serious riots in Yugoslavia or cause a regime change, you need to kill me. Shoot at me and be sure you have finished me off, because that's the only way to make changes in Yugoslavia.
So Vlado Chernozemski finished him off. Vlado was killed by the crowd of people and police right after he assassinated the king. He was a brave man to do what he did. Sadly, it was sought of in vein, because today as a result of being under Serbian/Yugoslavian oppression and brainwashing, Macedonians are strongly against the fact that we are one people with Bulgarians with strong historic, linguistic, cultural and ethnic ties . Vlado died for the unification of Macedonia with Bulgaria, but today Macedonia does not want anything to do with Bulgaria or Bulgarians.

VMRO was fighting for a united and independent Macedonia
The first name was VMORO. Their aim was to gain autonomy for Macedonia and Adrianople regions in Ottoman Empire and then to unite them with mother Bulgaria, just like Eastern Rumelia did. Later it became just VMRO.
Ante Pavelić concluded in Bulgaria an agreement with VMRO to work together to undermine the Yugoslav state. Croats always supported Bulgarians.

Of course, but the threads related with the Macedonian issues are already enough. This thread is for the brave ancestors of Bulgarians and Croats which were fighting together to crush Serboslavia and to unite their ethnic lands.
Sokol can make another thread where we can argue about IMRO and if it is Macedonian or Bulgarian organization.

Northern Macedonians have a conflicts with all neighbours.
Bulgarians deny their language and identity, and call them brainwashed Bulgarians.
Greeks deny name of their ethnicity and country, and dislake them because they claim Alexander the Great and ancient Macedonians.
Albanians want secession of half of Northern Macedonia.
Between Serbs and Northern Macedonians there is a conflict about church. So called Macedonian Orthodox Church was created by communists with secession from Serbian Orthodox Church, there is no one Orthodox church which recognize MOC.
Northern Macedonia recognized terrorist narco state Kosovo.

Speech by Angel Dzhambazki, Vice-Chairman of VMRO-BND [from Bulgaria] and member of European Parliament;
Translation;
"Today, in Macedonia there are people who call themselves Macedonians. And we respect that. We will defend their right to call themselves the way they want. We have no argument with them. Our disputes are with others. Our disputes are in the north of Macedonia, west of Macedonia our disputes are in the south of Macedonia. Within Macedonia and with Macedonia we have no dispute. Not to mention that probably three-quarters of the people who are here with passports from Bulgaria and have their roots in today's Macedonia. Not to mention that the largest Macedonian city is by no means the Macedonian capital Skopje, but is Sofia "

Only stupid nationalists deny the modern Macedonian identity.
We do not have problems with people who identify as Macedonians , but recognize the common history until 1945. Our problem is with Macedonians who trust only Serbian/Macedonian sources when it comes to the history of their ancestors. Recognition of the common history until 1945 - this is what Bulgaria currently tries to archieve on a state level.
Actually, mostly Bulgarian communists are the buildres of the country Macedonia that we know today. But only those who followed the Yugoslavian politics back then remained on the political scene of the new state. There are many stories of people who had the chance to be remembered as builders of the new state, but because they tried to perserve the connection with Bulgaria, they were killed (like Yordan Chkatrov), while some returned back to Bulgaria without doing anything.
Some times ago I've read about two cousins who have been raised together in Kukush, then went to Bulgaria with their families. After WW2, the father of one of them was invited by the Yugoslav communist to take part of the creation of the Macedonian state, later his son became Yugoslavian politic, Macedonist, while his cousin - a famous historian in Communist Bulgaria, professor in Sofia university. And both were active during the same years.

The story of Stoyan Christowe (US Senator, MANU member, author, journalist) is a good case in point about Macedonians and the Macedonian ethnicity;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoyan_Christowe
In first half of his life, Stoyan Christowe identified himself as Bulgarian, but after World War II and the establishment of Macedonian state within the Yugoslav Federation, he redefined his understanding of who he was, and proclaimed himself an ethnic Macedonian.[16][17][18][19][20][21][22] This change was a result of the fact, that during the 20th century, the Slav Macedonian national feelings have shifted. At the beginning of the 20th century, Slavic patriots in Macedonia felt a strong attachment to their homeland, but most of them saw themselves as Bulgarians. By the middle of the 20th. century, however Macedonian Slavs began to see Macedonian and Bulgarian loyalties as mutually exclusive and Macedonian regionalism had become Macedonian nationalism.[23][24][25][26][27]
In his early years in America, Stoyan saw no difference in using the terms "Macedonian" and "Bulgarian from Macedonia" interchangeably in reference to his native identity.
Macedonians in Bulgaria in the 1920s were the backbone of the economic, professional, social, political and cultural life of the capital. The foremost person in every field of activity is likely to be a Macedonian, or at least part Macedonian.[28]
