Perhaps he has Semitic blood via admixture with Turkish Arabs. Looks like a Jew and completely Middle Eastern... His surname is also Jewish.

He really has Jewish roots.

His family are descendant from an Askenazi convert (who owned a big ass brick factory) from late 19th century.

Kaplan is a common Jewish surname. It is not related to the Turkish word.

He isn't the only politician of Jewish origins, we have Lagumdžija (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zlatko_Lagumd%C5%BEija)(and he married a woman of Jewish origins) too. You wonder how all of these Jewish converts end up so high in all of our government, both in the far right and the left.

And both of them spearhead pro-Israeli stance (with occasional throws to Palestinians from time to time)...

This just doesn't feel right.

The Nice Jewishboy wet dream of yours was one of the most adamant supporters of privatization of BHTelecom to no surprise a little company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECI_Telecom) from Israel.

Even after generations since your conversion, you Jews still keep your loyalties to your kin. That would be commendable if your actions wouldn't leave my nation bankrupted...

Yes how are we to deny his Turkish roots, better yet who are we to point out his Jewish ancestor from Austria and that his last name didn't exist in Bosnia before the Austro-hungarian invasion and occupation?

Either way a Jew or a Turk should never have that high of a place in government... Lagumdžija and his Israel loving ass was enough.

He said that his family has Sarajevo roots.

You can find all the families and Houses of Sarajevo from records which were preserved from 16th century till 19th century when the Austrians take over and his last name ISN'T ON IT.

If his ancestors were Turks as he claims they would have migrated to Bosnia in a short time span of 50 (starting 1606) years when there was migration of Turkish speaking Greek converts (from Greek Macedonia) in wake of sack of Sarajevo (which is the only recorded bigger migration which didn't come from Hungary, south Poland, Austria, Serbia or Croatia). That would give these "Kaplan Turks" a period nearly 400 years to make their last name more spread out, but today there are less than 300 people in Bosnia with that surname. So what does this number of 300 strong tell you about the presence of Kaplan clan?

I can understand you as a person with Jewish blood trying to bring your kind "a bit closer" to the rest of Bosniaks, but why do you have to fight tooth and nail to hide your Jewish origins?

My first ancestors are mentioned as one of the great Muslim Houses of Sarajevo (native converts from a minor house in the region) in 1493. honey when we were tasked with creating a better supply chain and securing the roads for the supply caravans to reach the Ottoman vanguard which was at that time pacifying the few pockets of Catholic resistance in the south Bosnia (Herzegovina) ;)

Pontid strongest + Armenoid/Taurid-Armenoid tendency.

He was born in Stolac, all Kaplans from Stolac (in Herzegovina) descend from Rabbi Joshua Kaplan who converted to Islam (100+ years ago?).
Though I don't know how much he is Jewish actually, he might even be less Jewish than Bosnian (1/8), unless descendants of that Rabbi also married Jews.

Lagumdzija's ancestor was some Jewish leader Samuel Lagom. That was surely long time ago (200 years minimum) because Lagumdzija's held higher Ottoman positions (as muslims).

Prominent Bosnian politician Zlatko Lagumdzija doesn't look Jewish at all.

His wife doesn't strike as Jewish either.(I think VV said she might be with Jewish roots too?) Her name is Amina (common Bosniak name).

I mean look at our little Parisian girl

Lagumdžijas compared to the other nobility weren't some higher ups, for most of the existence. Their success only came after they financed the opposition of Gradaševićs and when Omer Paša Latas went on his killing spree in Bosnia, during which most of the greater Houses were dismantled, remnants of Hamzis hunted down and their wealth "passed down" to the more loyal subjects.
