She is really cute, nice couple. :) She reminds me of a quite fair basque girl from college for some reason. I think it's the cheekbones.

Do you think old Europeans looked more like the Sami? :p Weren't they more like the cromagnon fossils? Or did those types coexist?

The two Mesolithic remains found in La Braņa in Northern Spain were genetically closest to modern Saami.




Most of these Cro-Magnon and Mesolithic reconstructions look very similar to the Saami:

Are the Sami usually like that? It's curious. You'd almost think the girls are related if you saw her. :p She's not very tall though from what I can remember, unlike ancient Europeans.

Like every ethnic group the Saami have variety in their looks, but it's not unusual to find individuals who look like that.

Actually I think her sort of look would be more typical among Icelanders and West Norwegians as well, he'd fit here in East Norway though.

They are a really nice couple indeed. And about those looks you are talking about, don't forget those theories that state that Western Europe was once inhabited by Finnic tribes.
