A very interesting article, showing the countries that enforced strict gun control laws last century. Millions of citizens were not able to defend themselves.

Whether you agree or not with the findings of these authors, I always wonder why the liberals in my country are constantly trying to regulate, control and limit gun ownership.

The only country where gun laws actually seemed to work is Japan.

But that is nothing to do with the gun laws but due to the fact that Japan has restricitive laws on the ownership of weapons dating back to the feudal era. [ It also took over a 100 years for them to be effective in that time ]

This basically means the argument on gun control is essentially one where it will take decades for any slight statistical improvement.

These laws have nothing to do with safety but with government control over people's life.
