The Gnostic View of the Feminine

The material world, with its privation and suffering, falls under the aegis of the feminine in all traditional metaphysical thought. The Gnostic view of the feminine pole is that woman are the material-orientated side of the human being but still they have the different side of their woman principle in the world of the spirits. The Gnostics considers that the materialistic principle is embodied in woman. So gnostics are against the dominant materialistic-feminine principle. The Gnostic women is ideal form of sacred emanation of the spirit, which must be recaptured and reincorporated into the male principle.
