Peloponnesian Greeks seem to generally be of Pontid type from what I can tell which sometimes looks like an Atlanto-Med.

I think Greece is more diverse than what people think. I've heard people on these sites say they're very homogenous.. not at all in my opinion.

Not in Lebanon.

To me some would fit in Portugal and a few in Lebanon.

Although i have seen Greeks who could fit into Lebanon easily more so Cypriots.

In some ways Greeks to me look like Iberians just with more a Eastern component.

Other Greeks just look Greek or sometimes Balkan.

Their best fit are Bulgaria, Albania and Italy, but Portugal is still way way better than Lebanon.

Greece is *very* diverse (like Spain in a way) and you can find pretty much everything.

Above all, they fit as dark Bulgarians/Romanians/Albanians. One thing certain is that they all look European, with one or two exceptions...

They aren't dark at all. I'm quite surprised, I expected Peloponesse Greeks to be darker.

From what I can see via Facebook searches and photos from clubs, which I can post later, Peloponnesian Greeks are not that dark.

Why should they?

Half of the very ''dark'' Greeks are those living in islands where it has sun almost 350 out of 365 days.

You live on an island right? So you know it better than anyone else.

Also Greek islanders are a small part of the overall Greek population.

I think Greeks are one group that are unfairly stereotyped as being excessively dark.

Yes.But even living in mainland, you also have sun for most of the year. If not 350 days, 300 of the days are sunny.

Today f.e. is 25'C. A Brit told me that they have 3'C over there .

Generally, those that live in sunny places are stereotyped as such.

I don't remember if it was you, or someone else, but in some photos of Cyrpiots in the winter, someone commented that they are too white

Might have been

I just know from personal experience that Greeks are not nearly as exotic as a whole as what people think. Most of the ones I see can't even pass as Turkish.

Lebanon. Greeks don't look Portuguese in my opinion. http://www.footballzz.com/img/jogadores/69/35169_ori_joao_pinto.jpg
Thats what a Portuguese looks like.

Some of them could pass in Portugal, but most have some "foreign" features that points them to Lebanon or whatever in that direction.

To neither of those places, actually.
