I thought it would be cool to make such a thread on good vacation ideas and places to see in Europe (and elsewhere) when i saw an article (http://www.bt.no/reise/Reise-mot-soloppgangen-2786205.html) on the Trans-sibirian railway in my local news paper just now..

So here are some of the places and things ive been wanting to do and might do in the coming years:

- Trans-Siberian railway in Russia (Great and legendary journey along a railway filled with so much history).

My dream is to visit Stonehenge and many other Standing stones around Europe and especially those in the UK and Ireland. I feel so connected to such places.

Orkney has more neolithic ruins than anywhere else. Much more than Stonehenge.

Same with Jarlshof in Shetland, like Skara Brae but with Viking Norse homes also.
It contains remains dating from 2500 BC up to the 17th century AD.
