My name is Alexander and after seeing the post in the 'Why is Skadi so racist' on Yahoo answers linking to this site I came here. Truth be told I was on Skadi when Loki left to start this forum and checked it out then too; deciding to wait and see how it turned out before joining. It slipped my mind to check on this forum again until yesterday. I recognize a lot of the names on here as current or ex-Skadi members (mainly ex); myself still being an active member under the name of Reich des Waldes on Skadi.

A little about myself: I currently hold a degree in music composition, which is seldom used as of late, and I am entering my fourth year in my Germanic studies/German language undergraduate program. Next year ('10-'11 school year) I'll be going to Germany to start my Masters and hopefully continue onto a PhD. I hate introductions so I'll just leave it there.

Hello there. To which "Heiliges Reich" you refer to? :confused: And explain "Reich des Waldes". Waldreich? The Kingdom of the forest?

Yes, it was suppose to mean kingdom of the forest. RdW was a dark ambient (along the lines of Dargaard) music project I started years ago. When I registered on Skadi back in I believe '06 I was still writing music for it so I decided to use it as my user name. I have since become disinterested with the musical project and dropped it, thus dropping the name a long with it.

As for 'Heiliges Reich'/'Holy Empire': It has a dual meaning for me. Part of it represents the historical past of Germany along with it's emperors and kings (Karl der Grosse, Otto der Grosse, Friedrich Rotbart usw) and part of it represents my political ideals of a Meritocracy combined with an empire of Germany and Austria united.
