The 78 days of NATO bombing were totally ineffective and the Serbs managed to avoid most of the damage by using smart and simple tactics. The bombings didn't even made a scratch on the Yugoslav's Army ability to wage war. What little damage was done was achieved by coordination with KLA fighters. What brought an end to the conflict was Russia's involvement on a diplomatic level that convinced Milosevic to come to a deal. Maybe we should start thanking the Russians instead of NATO. Oh the irony.... :p

Should we thank Russia too for practically wanting Albania to be non existent after the first balkan war treaty was signed.
