I was a fan of BART when I lived in San Francisco. It beats driving somewhere and taking literally 2 hours to go through traffic and find parking. With BART I could get to the same location in 15 minutes. BART is tiny compared to other subway systems but they're really great if you actually live in the city and have to commute. Much better than buses or driving.

Of all these city metros, I was most impressed by Berlin. Talk about German efficiency :thumbs The Hauptbahnhof station was a masterpiece of architecture. The trains are very punctual and fast.

Second best is Stockholm which is impressive and equally punctual and generally a great metro service.

Next year or so I will probably have to add Singapore and Manila's MRT and LRT to the list. Hmm I also want to try out Athens, Tokyo, Stockholm's T-Bana and Copenhagen...

To be quite honest: I think the general design of the new stations sucks. I like the tunnel station of the The Hague tram services much better:

Bucharest only and it's been very OK. Fast, clean, bodyguards, modern. They also have a place for performing arts at Unirii station. I liked it.
