Average for Lithuania according to wikipedia article "human height" for males 18 years old is 1.813 m (5 ft 11 1⁄2 in) and for Germans 18-25 year old is 1.810 m (5 ft 11 1⁄2 in). According to this Lithuanians are negligibly taller so I don't know what you are talking about.

When driving through Dalmatia I can see a lot of foreigners during summer. I know who is who especially when people stand by car (regis. plates). Indeed Germans are tall, but I wouldn't say that they are taller than Dalmatians or that Dalmatians are on average taller than Germans. We all have our experiences. All this measurements don't mean much. In human height wiki page you can see that where people have done two independent studies for the same nations with similar ages, the averages varied 3cm. It all depends on sample. Maybe in another sample Dinaric Alps would show 180cm as average. Who knows.

Average for Dinaric Alps is 184.6 (authors added one cm to that number so it magically became 186 for many people). Samples were taken from locations in Dalmatia and Herzegovina. From my observations Herzegovinians are taller than Dalmatians especially coastal ones. Maybe the number is a bit overblown. There are many short people here obviously since the average means average after all. I would never guess people here to be on average 184-185 cm tall. But when standing in line I can notice me with 187cm being nothing special, slightly above average. So the only way for someone to be taller than them on average is if actually they are more than 184cm taller on average since I wouldn't say they are much more shorter than that.

Average for Lithuania according to wikipedia article "human height" for males 18 years old is 1.813 m (5 ft 11 1⁄2 in) and for Germans 18-25 year old is 1.810 m (5 ft 11 1⁄2 in). According to this Lithuanians are negligibly taller so I don't know what you are talking about.

When driving through Dalmatia I can see a lot of foreigners during summer. I know who is who especially when people stand by car (regis. plates). Indeed Germans are tall, but I wouldn't say that they are taller than Dalmatians or that Dalmatians are on average taller than Germans. We all have our experiences. All this measurements don't mean much. In human height wiki page you can see that where people have done two independent studies for the same nations with similar ages, the averages varied 3cm. It all depends on sample. Maybe in another sample Dinaric Alps would show 180cm as average. Who knows.

Average for Dinaric Alps is 184.6 (authors added one cm to that number so it magically became 186 for many people). Samples were taken from locations in Dalmatia and Herzegovina. From my observations Herzegovinians are taller than Dalmatians especially coastal ones. Maybe the number is a bit overblown. There are many short people here obviously since the average means average after all. I would never guess people here to be on average 184-185 cm tall. But when standing in line I can notice me with 187cm being nothing special, slightly above average. So the only way for someone to be taller than them on average is if actually they are more than 184cm taller on average since I wouldn't say they are much more shorter than that.

The only thing I agree with Wikipedia is on Dutch since I've been to Netherlands but not with Dinarids.. Sorry but they are not the tallest.

Dinaric Alps? I've BEEN there I WENT to Dinaric countries.. They are NOT tall I saw them with my OWN eyes. From my experience I never met any taller Dinarids in those countries then an average Lithuanian that

I am a short guy. I am only 1,70m, i am probably still growing a bit, since i came in puberty rather late, but i doubt i get much taller. most People in my Family are rather short.
In Austria i am belonging to the smaller People, but it is not that extreme. there are some People, man also that are around my height or even slightly smaller, i'd say most People in Austria are about 1,80 +/- 5 cm.
Most turks in my place are rather tall and even the younger ones are tall for their Age and rather premature. The few Albanians i know are about average, but i know only 4 in total. The Serbian Girls i know are often rather small and delicate, one Girl i know is 1,50 m, but she really has a good Body with slender limbs and delicate Features, i notice that austrian Girls at that height are often having shorter limbs. serbian guys tend to be average, but also here i know some who are about my height, so not all Balkan People are super tall i suppose.
The arab tourists are mostly in my height class, they are smaller than average Austrians are. Russians, Swedes, Dutch or northern germans are very tall, often much taller than average austrians are.
When i was in Hungary it felt different, i saw much more small People than what i am used to in Austria.

So when I read on the internet that my height would be merely average in some places or that people regularly see 2 meter giants, I can't help but call bullshit.

I agree I think it's a BS too. I'm 187cm and I am taller than majority easily no matter where I go. I look like giant among Latinos (white latinos maybe excluded here) and asians LOL

Plus optimal hight for human body is between 180cm and 185cm, that's where you can still be very fast and agile, agility drops off with hight drastically. I would settle for 183cm 6' as it seems ideal for overall performance of the human body.
