Agreed. If I saw him in London I'd think he was Indian, not even the more Caucasoid Pakistanis.

For what I know he's of pure southern Italian ancestry , he's well know here , a writer who won many prizes and pretty right-wing too.
Despite this I'd consider him over that famous line.

He is quite unusual even for a Southern Italian. Are you sure he doesn't have any gipsy or Northern African ancestry?

If he has any then it's quite remote , he never did any mention of it , I've also checked his surname and says nothing special , but Bari (his hometown)and Venezia (another city where that surname is common)has a long time tradition of trading with the Eastern Mediterranean , maybe he just had the misfortune to inherit some mixed blood.

You're actually IT , I've chosen him just because of his odd look , a rare one even in the South , by the way how would you classify him?
what subrace he could be referred to?a alpinid-mulatto mix maybe?
his hair are naturally curly btw.

Well.. if I didn't know better I would swear that he was Indian or Paki. I don't know much about classification but if you don't mind I will follow this thread evolve (with a particular interest).

Well, regardless I'm sure his genome isn't that different from a Southern Italian or Sicilian, I'm sure he's also genetically European, but has had the result of many different genes, Alpinoid, Pontid, Dinarid, East Mediterranid, slight Orientalid in an unusual combination who is overly tanned. He wouldn't be "white" in my books, but he's definitely European.
