I just watched some interesting videos about EU budget on youtube and i would like to share with you.

Over the last 15 years, the European Union has given one of Italy's most impoverished regions, Calabria, almost $2.5bn to improve its road infrastructure. But critics say some of that funding made its way to the local mafia instead. As a result, all that is left to show for the money is an unfinished highway from Salerno to Reggio Calabria, that has taken more than 50 years to build;

Nigel Farage brilliant as always, he is a genius inside a Parlament of clowns, unveiling the miserable ways of the inoperant, parasite bureaucrats servile to the financial powers.
And that with British class.

Nigel Farage... a Truly despicable person.
If you guys judge him solely on the basis of his anti-EU stance, you should have a look at UKIP policies that might change ur mind.

Farage is over rated as a politician, wouldn't label him as despicable though. I'm too left to vote UKIP in general elections, involving home issues.

At least he has a purpose as a politician. Isn't a globalist. Puts the career politicians backs up.

I'd vote UKIP only in EU elections.

For one UKIP is anti-gay, and a tiny bit racist, they want to cut the NHS etc. but that's just domestic policies.
when it comes to the EU, well, think about it, all they do is scream about the bloody EU but instead of trying to improve it all they do NOTHING, the reason for that is because they NEED the EU to suck otherwise nobody would vote for them...

They critise a lot of unfounded unfair decissions form the EU in taking over the right to choose from many States, as well as their general inoperacy. I think it's fair critique. He's a Nationalist, I think he'd be happy (sincerely) if the EU crashes. They don't want the EU to improve, but to fall, so that's coherent

So is that all your vote is worth, a bit of criticism. The reason why European countries have no sovereignty is not because of Brussels but because our economies are too intertwined. We live in a global Economy and for that Europe needs unity, guys like Farage are the problem not the salvation

A healthy dose of racism never hurt anyone!

Or, perhaps it did, but I still view basic racialist tenets favourably, as excessive miscegenation with more primitive hominid varieties might damage society.

fact of the matter is Western societies are loosing power and in order to make sure Europe remains strong we need to be united

Perhaps, but I do not see how this in any way refutes the positive aspects of racism.

The current state of affairs shows without the shadow of a doubt that standing on the other side is the correct option :rolleyes:

Exactly. And those EU bureaucrats are the puppets in hands of interest dictated by banks and financial powers. Europe won't be strong until she refuses to subjugate to this rules of global economy.

A global economy is the product of a "smaller world" not banks and financial powers. Europe will only stand strong if we change the EU not get rid of it entirely

It was irony. I was pointing out the result of standing on the side of liberalism and multiculturalism...

Btw since when has "popularity" become the criteria for what is right? :rolleyes:

Smaller world due to what? To expansion of capitalism and thus the chance of an international financial power.

Smaller world as in better means of transport and logistics and communication in general.

and I'm not going to criticise capitalism, since I'm very much a pro-cpitalist

The problem with capitalism and democracy in combination is that the phenomenon results in a cult of mediocrity, in which average non-exceptional people are rendered masters.

Putting one's faith in the hands of democratic capitalism is akin to allowing your average uneducated Joe to operate a nuclear reactor, because he is a popular and sort of nice guy.

can you think of something better? the way I understand it the alternatives to democracy are worse since without it people with opposing views are rendered obsolete

As a matter of fact, I can. Meritocratic aristocracy would be a much better alternative.

Couldn't have said it better.

Migla, you can't separate the technical aspect of global capitalism from its social, political and economical fundaments. And those fundaments have been just stated in the quote above.

just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Allowing only a select group of people to hold power over the government is naive. It doesn't matter how well achieved an individual is in his own field. He/she would have their own aims and those aims wont always be good for society. Besides, One select group would be a lot easier to manipulate

the irony in your comment is that most experts think that EU must become a Federation, but most of us would agree that such a notion is not the way we want to go. Do you see now why democracy is better

Nigel Farage about EU budget;

Sorry about the triple post, but I had to say this

This might appeal to a 14 year old yob, but how on earth does any adult person accept this as UK representation in the European Parliament? Farage uses the language of a 'shock jock' radio presenter not a serious politician. If this kind of behavior appeals to the average Briton then it's hardly surprising that serious consideration is being given to suspension of the UK's voting rights. When have you EVER seen another respectable politician behave like a thug admonishing and boasting in a playground.

Beware Britain, if the EU wins Case T-45/12 (bought by the UK against ECB plans to stop large counter-party trades taking place outside the eurozone) then the City of London is doomed. The sole reason for American banks being in the City is to gain access to the EU - that folks is why the Obama slapped down the UK because of its petulant behavior and press. If the UK leaves the EU, or gets suspended under rules allowed by the Lisbon treaty, then the big banks will move out of London and into Paris and Bonn.

The EU of course has every right to ensure banks are regulated properly and that won't happen if they stay in the UK which has the most lax laws of any major financial centre. As an example check the re-hypothecation rules which the SEC limits to 140% of assets held as collateral, in the UK there are no limits! And we all know the UK is the centre for tax evasion.
Add in the recent fines against corrupt UK banks like Barclays, RBS and HSBC and you will find the City gets what it deserves and sadly the average brit gets to watch the UK fall several more places on the GDP table. How many of you for example know the UK is now at number 22 on the GPD list!!!

I made my case feel free to criticise me if you wish
