10. Those whose only purpose on Apricity seems to be to post in the "cat appreciation" thread.
11. Anyone whose eye colour falls in the Martin-Schultz categories 1 - 5.
12. Anyone whose hair colour can be considered darker than medium brown -- unless their eye colour is green or blue.
13. Anyone who voted for Obama or shed a tear for Michael Jackson.
14. Anyone who fails the comb test.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. I wanted to include an intelligence requirement, but there is no point in slicing matters too thin.

Well I don't agree with French Canadians being a Northern European group, because France itself is pretty diverse and not all of us share a common background back in the old country. You have alot of South-South East French who are related more to the Italians, in blood and culture, and you have South-West French who are related more to the Spanish. The higher North-North West you go, you come across more Nordic people; Normandy, Alsace, etc. and in Quebec, the original settler people were from all corners of France.

Besides that, this forum was created for all European people to be welcome. And we should be discussing, and celebrating our similarities and our however slight differences, instead of debating whether a Brown Haired, Brown Eyed Frenchman like myself, or an Englishman, could be considered 'Northern European', which is pretty much all they discuss at Skadi.

So if we make this only for Northern Europeans, and we start cutting away all the Slavs, Latins, and Hellenes, you'll find that it will quickly progress to banning all darker looking people who would otherwise be considered "Northern European" on sites like we have here.

What problems? Thusfar Apricity has worked very well. Don't fix something that ain't broken. Skadi and NoFo both have more restrictive criteria, similar to what you're suggesting. Where are they now as far as growth and activity is concerned? Apricity is busier than both of them together at most times of the day. And -- Apricity even has more active Northern Europeans.

I do not understand the need for all this. This is just a message board, after all, not some kind of secret fraternity. I personally find it enriching to hear point of views from around the world. It can only increase my knowledge and understanding.

Oh and by the way -- I sincerely hope everyone understood that my first post in this thread was satirical. :) Satire has its purpose. By stepping into a little bit of absurdity, we can sometimes look at ourselves and see how silly our ideas are on some matters.

Whenever I go to a Ren Fayre or a Folkmoot, the mead there is strong enough to knock me on my ass.The people who prepare it are obviously experts.

I like beer,too, as well as wine, hard apple cider and mead.

If mead belongs to the 10th century, then beer belongs to the 5th century and wine to the last few centuries before the Common Era, during the time of the Romans.

We may not be Vikings and some of us may not even be Norse, but why is enjoying a cool beverage a bad thing?By the way, my wife got us a bottle of mead from the Giant Grocery store, of all places, to celebrate our upcoming anniversary, part 2. In Poland almost all their beer brands are over 5. 7 is for a normal Polish beer as I heard from a Polish friend of mine.
So, good your friend didn't drink 4 beers in Poland instead :D

Actually, depends on the brand. I know one which is 5%, but makes men drunk from 2-3. Dark beer is usually 6 or 7%, which makes it preferable in winter. Could be dangerous;)
There was one with 10%, but never tried that. They said it tasted like spirit.

Most meads I know of have between 13 and 18 % ABV. Beer is what? 5% ABV for a regular pils, 8% if you go for strong stuff. Or since you're in the States, 3-4 % probably since they only serve piss over there. My own mead will probably finish between 13 and 16% in a few months, I can't be 100 % certain yet though since I don't know the exact strength of the yeast (but the amount of honey added has a max potential ABV of 16).

Though I can accept you don't like the taste, that's a personal matter. *shrugs* De gustibus non est disputandum

I didn't know it was a place ful of hateful people, and I didn't know about apricity back then. I lasted about one year there, I guess the banned me because I was not Germanic enough for them, after I was banned I looked for another anthro forum, and I found the Apricity. Being banned from Skadi was the best thing ever hehe.
