I use her as a typical Sicilian face, since she's neither exotic and dark nor atypically light.

lol, Nia Vardalos!

I thought she looked like Glykeria.

I forget which Greek poster it was, but there was one on here who said she could not pass in Greece for some reason.

She's from Catania. I think she looks fairly typical for there, and the rest of eastern Sicily and Calabria.

She looks more Armenian than Spanish or Greek IMO.

There's something eastern about her eyes.

There's something eastern about her eyes.

Eastern as in Southeastern European, or eastern as in Middle Eastern, like an Armenian or a Lebanese?

See, what surprises me is that this is one person who I would never have expected people to think looked non-European, since I think she has a quite typical face. I can never predict what people are going to say when I post people.

This is another pic of her. In this one she definitely looks like Glykeria.

Glykeria has gypsy ancestry

Greece/Israel

Glykeria
(Agio Pnevma, Serres, Greece, 1953)

Born Glykeria Kotsoula, she is one of the most successful Greek singers. Her career is marked by several platinum releases and performances with prestigious artists. She is the best appreciated foreign singer in Israel, having given concerts with Ofra Haza ‒the most famous Israeli artist‒ and with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. She sings also in Hebrew and was the only non-Israeli artist to be invited to participate at the memorial concert in honor of Yitzhak Rabin in Tel-Aviv. She was made honorary citizen of Jerusalem in 1994.
