After two-three generations native language declines ... the rest is more flexible

I suppose it would be like a container of squash. If you keep adding water, eventually it will no longer resemble a mixed drink. Divide the water by how much squash was inside, and you could get a rough idea of how many generations it will take! But seriously, the future generations will always have that 'ancestry' in them... :icon_wink:

You have to be more specific. Are you talking about an ethnicity for a country or for an individual?

If you're talking about an individual it can be up to two generations. The person's grandparent may be full german or so but if the grand kid is virtually non german. The kid won't know any german, won't feel any german pride and will just view himself as a white mutt. Or atleast that's how it works in the US.

If the kids Grandparent was full German then he would be 1/4 or 25%

Once you lose the language there's no way back.

Less than you might think. I'd say 2 within the same race and 4 within different races.

I know plenty of people with one Jewish grandparent that don't have any connection to Judaism and are just part of the mainstream in Australia eg Olivia Newton John.

There's also lots in Australia who look and act like any other white person but are part Chinese from the 1880s (Gold Rush) eg Julian Assange.
