He looks Slavic and his name gives it away. He is a West Baltid.

He is from the Sudetenland, probably an ethnic czech, as Lischka is a czech surname.

On a totaly unrelated note, it seems that I have the same headshape he has.

Well, the word Lischka means fox in old Slavic dialect. Yes it sounds Czech to me as well.

In old Polish it meant fox as well, now Polish uses the word lis, I'm not sure what the Czech word for fox is nowadays.

In modern Russian fox is lis (male), lisa (female). The soft form of lisa is lisichka used even today.

Yeah, in Polish it's spelled lisiczka (same pronunciation). It's very close to the original old Slavic word.
