I always thought Veneto is the lighest region of Italy, besides Friuli and some parts of Trentino, Piedmont and Lombardy. I would classify him as faelid nordid, very common in Veneto.

He is normal for a Northern Italian. I’ve lived in Northern Italy for about a year. When I went on a trip to Rome with my Italian friends, a local shop clerk spoke to them in English. So perhaps some Northern Italians have a “foreign” look to people from around Lazio and Southern Italy.
