For centuries, many have wondered about the identity of a biblical leader who will do Satan the devil's bidding, trying to thwart the plans of Jesus Christ shortly before His prophesied return to Earth.
That character has come to be known as "the antichrist," even though the Bible never uses that word to describe any single person.
Now, after endless speculation suggesting Presidents John F. Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush could possibly be the End Times Bad Boy, there's a new viral video placing the current occupant of the White House into the club.
An American Christian has produced a brief film for YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgHUZXgNAWo) that connects one statement by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke to President Barack Obama.
His 4-minute video focuses on the direct quote: "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18) (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Luk&c=10&v=18&t=KJV#18)

"When I started doing a little research, I found the Greek word for 'lightning' is 'astrape' (http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G796&t=KJV), and the Hebrew equivalent is 'Baraq (http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H1299&t=KJV),'" said YouTube contributor "ppsimmons," a self-described Christian with a theological education and many years in the ministry, who spoke to WND under condition of anonymity out of concern for members of his local church. "I thought that was fascinating."
As he continued looking into the rest of the words in the phrase, he focused on "heaven," and found that it can refer not just to God's dwelling place, but also "the heights" or "high places."
He then recalled Isaiah 14:14 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Isa&c=14&v=14&t=KJV#14), where Lucifer, another name for Satan, is quoted as saying, "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."
"I wondered what the word 'heights' is," said ppsimmons, "and I looked it up in the dictionary, and it's 'Bamah (http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H1116&t=KJV).'"
Thus, on the video, the announcer notes, "If spoken by a Jewish rabbi today, influenced by the poetry of Isaiah, He (Jesus) would say these words in Hebrew ... 'I saw Satan as Baraq Ubamah.'"
"Gosh, was Jesus giving us a clue or was this just a freak coincidence?" thought the filmmaker at the time of his research.

"I want to emphasize I'm not ashamed of what I put there," he told WND. "I'm not proclaiming he is the antichrist, or that I'm some kind of a Hebrew expert, but the word associations are indisputable. The Hebrew word for lightning is 'Baraq' and the word for heights or high places is 'Bamah.'"
The movie has a prominent disclaimer stressing the film does not declare "BHO" [Barack Hussein Obama] to be the antichrist, but is merely pointing out the Hebrew words and their "striking" correlations to Jesus' statement.
Obama is far from being the first public figure to have his identity tied to Bible prophecy. For instance, President Reagan was considered by some to be a potential merely because each of his names – Ronald Wilson Reagan – has six letters, prompting some to think of 666, the "number of the beast" in the Book of Revelation (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Rev&c=13&v=18&t=KJV#18).

Modern books such as "Naming the Antichrist: The History of an American Obsession" and "Antichrist: Two Thousand Years of the Human Fascination with Evil" have chronicled a wide variety of other suspects (http://www.theologicalstudies.org.uk/article_esch_nichols.html) including Henry Kissinger, Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Italy's Benito Mussolini, Juan Carlos of Spain, Israel's Moshe Dayan, Egypt's Anwar Sadat, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Elvis Presley and ex-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, perhaps for his famous birthmark on his head that some thought could be "the mark" of the beast mentioned in Revelation.
When WND asked if people should take the video seriously or with a grain of salt, its producer said, "I take the middle road. I don't take it with a grain of salt, but I don't use the Bible like a Ouija board either. It's not like a magical crystal ball. Clear prophecy is one thing. Making word associations is another. Just look at it. I wouldn't take it super serious and say that's the proof we need. It's a little weird."

With the video posted now in several locations on YouTube and more than 75,000 total views, there has been plenty of reaction, with comments such as:

Anyone who knows multiple languages, which I do, and attempts to translate from one to the other knows that some meaning and inflection is lost in the translation. Here, we're translating three times: from Aramaic to Greek, and Greek to English, and English to Hebrew. A lot to be lost.

If I went through thousands and thousands of pieces of text about the devil (the whole bible!), I could find things to say [Fox News anchor] Glenn Beck is the antichrist.

It was Michael Jackson. No wait. It was George Bush. No wait. It was Paris Hilton! What the [expletive] is wrong with you people? Grow up. I bet you don't worship the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, too. Do you?

The Bible uses the word "antichrist" only four times, with one instance in the plural, in the following verses:

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2:18) (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=1Jo&c=2&v=18&t=KJV#18)

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22) (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=1Jo&c=2&v=22&t=KJV#22)

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3) (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=1Jo&c=4&v=3&t=KJV#3)

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (2 John 1:7) (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=2Jo&c=1&v=7&t=KJV#7)

Now we know why he won't reveal his real birth certificate. It will clearly show he was born in Italy with his mother as a goat.

Everyone from Nero to Bush II has been called the AC. Obongo should get a number and take a seat in line with the rest of the hopefuls.

Some people think the papal system is the Antichrist. I am not too worked up about it, but think the picture is funny.

if he could shoot lightning from his fingers, there would be a lot more believers ;)
Which really makes me wonder why churches dont use all that much hightech for such ends?

Sermons as conserts on playback.. teslacoils.. pyrotechnics.. various light tricks and invisible lines to cause some to fly :P
Projectors hidden, along with sound effects.... like a grand projected satan with a ungodly growl... when theres a need to demonstrate something is evil. Angelchoir enhanced music playback, and light for good etc..

This was discussed (http://forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?t=109890) at Skadi right after the unholy child was elected:

Barack Obama is constantly being presented and hailed as a Messiah, Savior and God-like figure while his religious views and motivations are equally suspicious. Present or dispute evidence that could suggest Barack Obama is the antichrist.

Wouldn't you have to believe in Christ to believe Obama is the anti-Christ? But in any case I think there is reason to suspect him. His uncanny rise to power (already discussed in other threads) & the way so many persons fawn over him. The Obama cult is a messianic cult but Obama is the messiah for an evil future, one of multiracialism & the embracement & celebration of anything perverse. He is the opposite (anti) of a pro-Germanic messiah. There is something evil & unnatural about the way so many Whites (remember his pre-victory tour through Europe) want to kiss the ass of the man who would lead them to their end. How many of them would drink cyanide kool-aid if Obama told them to?

And lets not forget his birth was the result of this unholy union.

What kind of woman would spread her legs & let a creature like that plant his seed in her? She must have been possessed

If Obama isn't the antichrist himself, then he's at least rubbing shoulders with the unholy one himself. Obama is the exponent of a Western culture that put its values upside down, just like its crucifixes. The blood of Germanic brothers and sisters will be spilled, unable to defend themselves in their mother's womb. The blood will be on Obama's hands.

Obama definitely has a hypnotic quality, and he learned how to speak in front of an audience from the best, and from a young age too. When Obama enters a room somewhere people will flock to him, some even fight to catch a glimpse of him, but a more common thing to see in Obama's presence is the ritual handshaking going on: a person who gave Obama a handshake will receive handshakes from the ones who couldn't get close to the man himself, who in turn will be invited to shake more hands by others, until everybody is participating in this 'mystic experience', as some testified.

This Obamacult is very bizarre to any outsider, must be. Yet I think Obama is just a pawn, paving the way for a still greater, unspeakable evil being.

No there is no Anti Christ as Revelations was a cryptic anti Roman tirade.Obama is a skilled Politician nothing more or less. he is not dangerous as he will move to the center in order not to be dethroned in the next election.

He is the first 21 Century pol who knew how to use the net. Thats his big rise to power,he was paradigm breaker. However once you break it everyone else learns how you did it. He just came along at the right time with the economy collapsing otherwise it is 50/50 McCain would have beat him.

You can not be raised by one race then suddenly become another is spite of your skin color. He has traditional a Euro values, and he played to the radical black element to get his jump start.(typical Pol) he will turn on them in time like Hitler did Ernst Rohm. Once you row ashore why carry the boat on your back? He could get assassinated by some black radical as well. I hope he does not but I fear it.

Obama had a sudden & unusual rise to power. Starting with the 2004 senate race in Illinois where the Republican withdrew after his divorce papers were unsealed revealing embarrassing personal allegations by his ex-wife. The local media market covers southeastern Illinois & I thought something smelled fishy at the time. The Republicans threw the race by nominating Allen Keyes, a black conservative (:rolleyes2:) who lived in Maryland, to be the Republican candidate. Then we have the 2008 presidential campaign were the liberal media practically worshipped at Obama's feet & turned on Hillary Clinton. And the Republicans nominated old, tired John McCain. Obama has been unusually lucky in his political life & he must of had some unsavory assistance, from someone or group of individuals, to get where he is today.

I have found a handy checklist to accompany Obama's career. (Ticks are my own)

He will be indwelt and empowered by Satan ✔

He will rise to power first over 3 and then 10 nations (from the old Roman Empire ... Europe?!)

He will somehow be 'diverse from the rest' so we are not certain he will be European ✔

He will bring 'peace', yet conquer through treaties and war ✔

He will be very, very popular around the world ✔

He will be a great talker and speech maker ✔

He will likely be charismatic and physically attractive ... like King Saul ✔

He will receive what appears to be a fatal wound to the head

He will appear to be resurrected from the dead

His right eye may be blinded and his arm completely withered

He will enforce a "peace" plan or resolution (covenant) upon nation Israel
(It doesn’t say he signs this treaty, but he enforces some coming 'peace plan' or resolution) ✔

He may help to get the new Jewish Temple built in Jerusalem

He will appear to perform miracles ("lying signs and wonders") ✔

He will require that everybody on Earth receive a mark or identification on their forehead or hand and nobody will legally be able to buy or sell without it

He will stand in a new Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and declare he is "God"

Unspeakable terror and war will then engulf Earth for exactly 3½ years (1260 days)

He will direct the slaughter of millions of Christians and Jews who come to know the Lord

He will lead the armies of the world into Israel . . . Armageddon.

I'm sure I could tick a few more. :D

64% of Israelis want Temple rebuilt (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=105629)

Nearly two-thirds of Israelis say the time is right to rebuild the Jerusalem Temple, according to a Ynet-Gesher survey. Even half of non-religious Jews favor rebuilding the Holy Temple – an idea politically unthinkable in Israel just 10 or 20 years ago.
The poll was release on the saddest day on the Jewish calendar – the fasting day of Tisha B'Av, or the 9th day of the Hebrew month of Av. It commemorates a series of tragedies that befell the Jewish people all on the same day, most significantly the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, which occurred about 656 years apart on the same day. Jewish tradition calls for the reading of Lamentations.
That could be: "He may help to get the new Jewish Temple built in Jerusalem" and "He will stand in a new Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and declare he is "God"" for me to tick off quite soon. ;)

Wanting the Jerusalem temple rebuilt and making it happen are two different things.
