Austria, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. Very typical looking for this area.

In a kindergarten somewhere in Austria, Northern Italy and even France.

I would have guessed croatia. I get a slavic vibe, but not overtly 'northern' nor 'southern'. ;)

I guess Slovenia (not necessarily because of your country). I think he could pass in polish Tatra region (Podhale) but this is the only place where he could fit in. Outside Slovenia my first guesses would be Croatia, and Austria.

Just on side note, he instantly reminded me in this depiction of "Sclavinia" in terms of pigmentation.

I can see that.

On a second side note... why does the person representing Gallia (aka France) look black!?

I really don't know. I always thought "Roma" should have "Gallia's" pigmention. Good to know I'm not the only one wracking my head about such crap:p

Hahaha, well it is an interesting question. :D

If I had seen this image without the location names above the heads of those people, I would have assumed the black haired figure was representing North Africa or something. :P

Yes, looks Nubian (southern Egypt). Neither Gallic nor Roman.
