Question; Why do all threads questioning Spanish anthropology get shut down ASAP?

Spaniards on this forum seem very defensive about their identity. Any questions or queries about admixture in the Spanish population get quickly shut down, as do many other threads about Spain, no matter how innocent their motives.

Are Spaniards really so scared of the outcome of the answers that they shut down debate? It seems to me they are the most defensive people on this board?

There's probably hundreds of threads about Turkish, Jewish, Slavic, Hungarian, Greek, Macedonian, and others, origins and inter-mixture/admixture that don't get shut down.

So why the double standard? Do they still think its the 1950s in Spain?

It was me who closed it. I didn't close it because it was about Spain, i closed it because, like i explained in the thread itself, i think enough is enough with the "Who is whiter: Portuguese or < insert ethnicity > ?"

At least give it a 3 day interval before starting another?

P.S. - just to be clear in case you have doubts: i'm not spanish

The same thing happened yesterday on someone elses thread about Spaniards (I think maybe about Spaniards and Bulgarians but I can't remember specifically).

Whiteness is a non-issue for both portuguese and spanish, and for most europeans i would say.

Looking back on the thread I probably should not have made it. As many people already question the whitness of Iberians and as someone with Portuguese ancestry probably should not have made it.
