Pontid proper is quite rare in Russia and normally sign of non-Russian origin. Girl like this would most likely be considered as West Ukrainian in Russia.

To be honest I never read anything of Bunak. But keep in mind area around Ryazan is populated by Erzya people which are subgroup of Mordvins. Actually the name Ryazan itself was made out of Erzya. Now as you pointed on Ryazan I actually had a friend of Mordvin origin and he was very close to Gorid/Pontid mix.

So we can say they are present in Russia but in very low numbers as Mordvins are very few compared to ethnic Russians. And non-Russian origin of this phenotype is quite clear.
