Whay I love them? Fabio and Sofia sounds sofisticated, and Monique very cheap.

Dominique is a male name in French? In English it's female.

I think the French versions of these names look the nicest.

We use a lot of these too. Some others sound weird. My name is germanic for example. Many others are germanic derived like Roberto, Haroldo, Humberto, Adolfo, Rodrigo, Germán, Enrique, Idelfonso, Ramón, Reynaldo etc.

Dominique is a male name in French? In English it's female.

Dominique is actually unisex in French.

I like a lot of Romance names, especially the Italian ones. They sound sophisticated to me.

I think the Italian and French versions sound sophisticated, and the Spanish ones that share with the Italian.

Romances names rule. My real name is a Romance name of Hebrew (biblical) origin.

I thought you were going to write real Romance names. :( Most of those are Romancized versions of Greek/Germanic/Hebrew names.

Let me correct some of the Spanish versions you wrote.

MÓNICA (accent is important, because without it the word means either cutie or little monkey :p)
ANA (only one N. Important because some girls get very pissed off if you misspell it)
ALICIA, not ALISA. In French it's ALICE.
ARIADNA, with an A.
JUANITA is either a familiar form or Latino-sounding. It's JUANA.
SOFÍA
CÉSAR
FABIO (Fabián is a different name)
JAIME (for Giacomo). The names JACOBO, YAGO, SANTIAGO and DIEGO are variations.
LORENZO, not LORENCIO. At least the common one.
RAÚL

To me, with some exceptions, names in Spanish sound a bit harsh. I prefer them in my language:

MÒNICA
ANNA or AINA
ALÍCIA
ARIADNA
BLANCA (People prefer ALBA)
DIANA
FRANCESCA (Pronounced FRANSESCA, not as in Italian.)
GISELA (Very nice-sounding name)
JOANA (Pronounced GIU-ANA)
JÚLIA (Sounds similar to the Italian one)
PAULA
REBECA
SOFIA
BEATRIU
CLARISSA

Male:

ANTONI
CÈSAR
CARLES
DOMÈNEC
FABI
ENRIC
JAUME (An Italian should read it as GIAUMA)
JULI (As in Italian, without the O)
LLORENÇ (An Italian should read it as GLIURÉNS)
LLUÍS
MARC
MAURICI
PERE
RENAT
RAÜL

What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

Names could/could not reflect the way they sound, on the person bearing them. :)

Romance names sound a bit sophisticated and elegant, yes. But that is only my humble opinion. Antoni and Marc are two of my favourites.

Some mistakes :

Ariane, not ARIANNE
Diane, not DIANNE
Gisèle, not GISELLE
Paule (PAULETTE is a diminutive)
Raoul, not ROUL
And both forms Alice and Alix are used

''Enrico/Henri'' is far from be romance name...is obviously of germanic origin, the suffix -erico/-erik is very indicative.

Maybe we could add some real Romance names? And by this I mean, those names which have a meaning in our Romance languages.

A few female ones, in Catalan and Spanish:

ONA = Wave
LLUM / LUZ= Light
ESPERANÇA / ESPERANZA = Hope
MAR (in both languages) = Sea
PAU / PAZ = Peace (Pau can also be a male name in Catalan, but then it's our version of Paul, which is Latin, not exactly Romance)
ALMA = Soul
LLUVIA = Rain
SOL (In both languages) = Sun
ROCÍO = Dew
CANDELA (In both languages) = Candle
ESTEL / ESTRELLA = Star
NEUS / NIEVES = Snow
MERCÈ / MERCEDES = Mercy
MONTSERRAT = Rugged Mountain
