Great article, but there are some historical issues here, like Norway not being independent at 1599, so we did not have any court to visit...i sent them an e-mail on it...

I can't imagine men in high heels! Would look weird and gay. I never wear high heels myself, I can't walk in them. I always wear flat shoes and most of the time sneakers.

Well I know about some adult men which wear high heels and there is everything ordinary about them supposedly ... and they're not gay and they don't do it because they want to look feminine or in order to remind women. They actually do it as an expression of opposition against standard fashion for men and stereotypes not because of their assumed flamboyancy.

In most of history the roles for exhibitionism as we see them today, sexy models, fancy clothes, jewellery ect was used by men and not so much women...but times have changed since women entered into the public life more and more, especially since the 1960's onwards...

Male platform shoes were worn as recently as the 80s I believe. Some urban subcultures still wear them regardless of sex.

Those are just elegant shoes, not so "high heels".

But they are very short, so they can be overlooked.

If men start wearing high heals again then we have to start wearing 20 cm heals and we'll all look like clowns. :(

Women adopted the heel from men, not the other way around.

I'm going to be honest. I've dressed in drag and I love wearing heels.

But I never wear them any other time, of course.

No I haven't. I had one of those. We called them Spice Girls shoes and they were ugly as hell. :D

They are impractical for a working lifestyle.
