As Su said above here, his facial features are typical for central to eastern Anatolia but he is a bit more darker than average.

I rarely see black haired people like him but most have brown hair.

His wife doesn't look Eastern Turkish, she rather looks average as in the meaning she can be easily from Western / Mediterranean or Central part of Anatolia. I guess her look is less common in Eastern / Southeastern as well as in Blacksea region of Turkey. But I believe in rest of the Turkey her look is rather common.

No problem passing as dark Romanian, either. Most Turks, including Turanid ones, can pass as Romanian. I've seen people like him here, but that's not how Romanians typically look like, of course...
